Mexico. It's a country bursting with culture and history. It's people are known around the world as the people of the corn. Our ancestors, the olmecs and the mayans, created a grain that sustaned life (corn), to the present day, is a gift to mankind.
Our ancestors honoured the elements, they learned about the moon,the stars, nature and left behind knowledge to keep us to the path they once followed. And dance was an important way of telling stories, celebrating and praying. To our ancestors dance was a way of praying in motion. Because of this dance in Mexico is a key part of any ritual, ceremony or festival.

The name of our group is Atlachinolli - burning water. It's the fusion of two elements, water and fire or the sea and the sun. It's a metaphorical word to describe harmony or destruction. Atlachinolli symbolizes the balance between opposing elements. This is what we bring to you- a reconnection with the old civilizations uniting with the modern day people.
